Pink Saturday

Iam joining Beverley at Pink Saturday, wish I knew how to do the little gadgets on the side, but I guess it will come. My first rose of the year has bloomed and it is so pretty, but has a little bit of brown spots on the edges of petals. Beverley-why??? I can't have done anything wrong already, have watered everyday, it is only two weeks old, fertilized it, too much? Also, note the cranberry lamp, I added a pink trim with pink beads hanging from the trim. Really quite pretty, should have shown it better.
My Lilies in the pond bloomed this week too, pond is still green but found a pump had split open and all the silch (I don't think that is a word) guck had worked its way inside the casing, so should be on the mend, will take awhile though. Here are the lilies...
not a good picture doesn't show the pink, that is me and the iphone and my excitement over this little guy below

I had been out weeding and was just sitting back relaxing before I moved to the next flower bed, when I saw this little guy wondering along. He had been down the road the night before, my grandson had found him and said he left a path up to our house-charming, no mother around. He wouldn't eat and when walking he fell over, anyways we caught him and took him back to some woods. Sad and grandsons wanted to keep him, but no way.  Haven't gone in that flower bed yet, now I'm worried that the mother may come looking. He's not pink but he is cute.

  4. Hi Betty,
Your rose is so beautiful! This time of year is so lovely with roses and lilies blooming for you! I don't know anything about the side gagets, either. Thinking if I try them I'll lose my blog!
    Happy weekend to you,

  6. Your pink rose is beautiful. Thanks so much for finding me so I could find you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
PS.Don't worry if there is a bit of brown on the edge of your roses. It's often caused by a heavy dew or maybe a bit of water got on it while you were watering. Nothing to worry about.
