Spring Tea

Welcome to my spring tea, this will be the third time I have done this. Have blogsy for iPad and its wonderful once you know what you're doing- that lets me out. Our weekend was beautiful, so inspiring, spring is in the air. Forgot to do a St. Patrick's tea, so will do one later in week if I ever get this on..

This is a st. Patrick's wreath I made for the front door, may put Easter eggs on for Easter not sure yet. Been going to add a shamrock, but here it sits.
Welcome to my tea, using my Royal Winton teapot, love it and don't use it enough, it is the same as the background of my blog, never get tired of seeing. Pulled out the royal Winton breakfast set just for background.
Using the brass tea wagon too, my family tells me to get rid of it that it doesn't match anything that I have, until I get a gorgeous wooden one I will keep using it. Then if I do get a wooden one won't be so comfortable using it like I do this one. Just wash it off and ready to go.

This is Rosedale Series by Royal Albert and the second one is

The second is Antique Series by paragon, they are both covered in roses and very similar to the Royal Winton, not sure why but I am loving yellow lately, must be because of the dreary February.

The vase is an American pottery piece have had for years, teapot is new as is the breakfast set, although they are close to 10 years old now.

Here is my Irish contribution, this was a gift to my mother 60 years ago from her father, he was from Rathfriland Ireland in county Down, and it has seen better days.
Hubby is joining me so just red rose tea, his favourite and a cinnamon bun that is on a Royal Winton chintz pedestal dish. Chintz is so pretty isn't it, not around our auctions like it use to be.

Now if I manage to get this posted I will be joining ....

  1. What a pretty tea time!

I think your china is lovely and I really like your tea cart! It really is OK not to be all matchy-matchy, so tell your family that! : - )

  3. I adore your yellow chintz, I remember it for sale in the back of Victoria magazine years ago and wish I had bought some.
Your tea cart is sweet and mismatched china is what I do all the time.
    Happy St. Patrick's Day.

  4. I LOVE your wreath! How cute! And chintz is always a favorite! I love the shamrock trivet! I used to have a tea cart, but when we last downsized, it had to go....no room! But I miss it at times. Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  5. Hello Betty,
What a cute wreath! I love your Royal Winton pieces! Chintz always makes me smile. Your teacups are all beautiful. The shamrock trivet is very special and lovely to have. I would love to have a tea cart but I never see them around here. Thank you for sharing your lovely post with us and coming to tea. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

    Blessings,

  6. Hello Betty,
Your wreath is perfect for spring in that beautiful green! I am loving your tea trolly filled with wonderful tea things. What a gorgeous chintz tea set! In fact, it is the same one I tried to show on my post today, only a different color. It was on sale for $450. And I think that was a bargain price. Yours is a gorgeous color! I love yellow for tea time. It just seems to go with it.
All your tea cups are splendid! So very pretty all set out.
Thank you for sharing your lovely tea post!
    Hugs,
    Terri

  8. Dear Betty,
Oh my, oh my, I love that teapot so much and how pretty it looks with your teacups-all with cheerful, springy yellow.
That piece that "has seen better days" is an absolute treasure. Love it and it's history from your family.
The chintz compote dish...another treasure and how pretty they all look together.
I agree about with Michele about the tea cart. It is really pretty and light looking. You can see through the shelves which is nice too. I think it's a keeper.
