I have been decorating all week with pink and yellow to celebrate Beverleys birthday. In fact that's all I have been doing is going through pictures looking, setting up my tea with the colours. Years ago our wallpaper was yellow with pink roses, but I can't find a picture of it. So this has been my week-
two of my deep pink roses
Yellow hobnail rose vase with a pink rose (vase is an antique), the softer vase to the right is Fenton, so pretty, such a soft yellow
pink bathroom, with a vase holding the toilet paper and the vase head, in pink and yellow...

Hi Betty,
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty post!
I love the pink/yellow combo, soo Summery.
I think your cousin's candleabra with the cups and saucers is beautiful and clever thinking.
your vases and flowers are lovely and I like the idea of the toilet paper in the vase with the blossoms...must look for a suitable vase :)
Have a good week

All of your pink and yellow looks fantastic! Beverly will love it. I found you at Open House, even though I am also partying at Beverly's Pink & Yellow Saturday.
ReplyDeleteOh what a delightful treat for Beverly's birthday and Pink Saturday. And may I say, that is such a cute and unique teapot at the top. Thank you for a lovely visit.
ReplyDeleteOh Betty....... :-) What a grand job you've done decorating to celebrate Beverly's birthday. I'm sure she'll be tickled "pink and yellow"... Everything is just perfect. I love the little yellow, ruffled Fenton vase. Perfect for little short bouquets.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words on "My Story"... I've had quite a life. So much more good than bad. God has been so good to me and I am humble and grateful. I know that someday I'll be running to touch the hem of Jesus' garment... :-)
Love to "meet" you...
Spencer.
PS... The background on your blog is one of my very favorite chintz patterns.
Hi Betty,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Beverly's birthsday. I think she must have been happy with this wonderful decoration. Your patio setting is perfect and very summerly. I would'nt have guessed that this pretty plates and bowls are Melanine. Looks amazing and very pretty.
Best greetings, Johanna
Hi Betty...Thanks for all the comments, and yes, there is plenty more on MacKenzie-Childs - if you scroll to the very bottom of my page and click on "M-C" then you will find many posts! I have been a collector for years and I worked the Annual Barn Sale a few weeks ago for the 1st time (I live about an hour from the Aurora plant) I am not sure if you know this or not, but Victoria and Richard have not owned the company for the last 10 years, so things at the company have changed a lot - they now have formed another company).
ReplyDeleteSomething that caught my eye on your last post was the yellow Fenton Epergne. I have the same one, but in milk glass (it was my mother's) and I have never seen it in color - just beautiful!!
Again, thanks for coming by!
Love your footstool! The "Buttercup" pattern on the feet is one of my favorite patterns! My mom lives in Fla and says in her area, no one is familiar with this, too! Every now and then I meet someone who has never heard of the company and I am in my glory telling all!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
I am absolutely in love with the pink and yellow garden tablescape....so simple and elegant!
ReplyDeleteFound your blog on Tabletop Tuesday and I'm a new follower :)
The patio set is to die for, Betty! It reminds me so much of my parents own patio set they recently bought. It has bronze painted frames and gold colored cushions, with lime green throw pillows. Its look has a dash of summer, autumn, and fall (very relaxing), which is why I like it.
