We were too early, it wasn't open and advice to anyone in the same predicament. Go into Bath, guaranteed to get lost and you will be on time. Bath is out of this world. In fact it was almost closing time when we got back there. The view was amazing, the tea was great, we didn't take a lot of pictures because it was almost closing time and didn't want to waste time, so copied off their site.
The two top pictures are off their website, a little blurry, below is mine and table cloths are the same from way back then. The china was the blue and white as shown in the picture below. Frank looks angry - isn't -telling me to stop taking his picture and let him take mine. I have a thing about pictures of me. I was too excited at the time to sit still. I was in a real live English Tea Room...
my picture below, the view East toward Wales
Their picture of the back yard and same view
We are hopefully going back this summer, so will be back to Tollgate

Hello Betty,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your post. I love visiting England too, and your post reminded me of my lovely visits too. I have never been to the tea room you suggest. I have been to Bath and it was fabulous as you say. Next time, I will look for your lovely tea room. It does look really wonderful. I am so glad you found it and had such a good time.
Hugs,
Terri
Nicely captured.!
ReplyDeleteMy BLUE, have a nice week ahead.
Good morning Betty,
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go to England and visit a tea room! My uncle who is from England regales me with stories and it is so enjoyable listening to him! I adore his accent! Thank you for sharing with us and coming for tea. {I fixed your link for you.} Hope you have a splendid day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Thank you so much for the visit to the Toilgate Teashop. What fun! Looks like you have a wonderful time! Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteOh, Betty, what a WONDERFUL trip! I long to spend some time in the U.K. - I spent 3 days in London and loved it, but am hungry for more. You asked about my OCR teapot. You are right in that it isn't the one you usually see. I love it, though! I got if off Ebay. Have a great week, Betty, and thanks for sharing the Toilgate Teashop. I loved my virtual journey!
ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
