B/A Vintage 31 days/colours/stockists

Welcome back to B/A Vintage. It's been since May since I posted and was never sure if it was out there in blogger works. Still not, but going to keep plugging away.

As you can see below we have 31 Canadian stockists (32 now), 31 Annie Sloan chalk paint colours and 31 days of the month of October. Our stockist in st. Thomas came up with this great idea of all the stockists across the country pick a colour and going alphabetically we have to paint something in that colour for the day of the month it falls on.

Pretty smart lady, pretty smart idea. We are all excited about it. Lots of gifts planned and the rules will be published below. My colour is emperors silk and I post on Sunday October 12, thanksgiving Sunday. Have already started. Going to show how many piece I can get out of a can of paint. So I've been painting up a storm, painting everything in sight.

Late Tuesday Tea

Welcome to my Late Tuesday tea, had my tea Sunday afternoon and almost forgot to post it. I am still cleaning up and getting over last weeks tea. Had tables koto return to the auction centre and they were heavy so needed grandsons to carry . Twenty teacups to put away, all the tablecloths and napkins to wash, three tiered plates, cloches, not to mention food. Food got shared a round the countryside and what couldn't be kept got thrown out. So here we are - Sunday afternoon a nice sunny day - hubbies gone to a hockey game and I'm going to enjoy a cuppa all alone.

Fireplace is on and it's so cozy, reading an English home magazine about Virginia Wolfe and the different colours that she painted her house.

Enjoying raspberry cream earl grey tea, I shared this tea a couple of weeks ago. So refreshing.

My roses are wilting, but still so pretty, some days I wilt too. Especially after this large tea, I was wilted for days.

This is a complete tea set for six, cream n sugar, just missing the teapot. Love this set, the tea cups at a great size and I use it for my daily tea.

Having a great of strawberries and mascarpone cheese and white chocolate, along with my all time favourite marble cheese.

Thank you for visiting with me today.

Before I close out I want to share an child's wing back chair that I painted in Emperors silk chalk paint by Annie Sloan. Four grandsons have enjoyed this chair and it was getting pretty grubby.

Looks great doesn't it??

I will be sharing this tea with

One Girl In Pink: Painted Sofa Before/After and Master Bedroom Updates

One Girl In Pink: Painted Sofa Before/After and Master Bedroom Updates

80th birthday high tea celebration

Welcome ladies to a tea celebration for my mother who has turned 80.

Big day coming, my mother was going to turn 80 and she wanted a special birthday. So I was given a list of names she wanted, under it- it said fancy sandwiches, goodies and tea. So when you turn 80, you can have what you want

List had 28 women, where to have it, my dining room is huge, but not that large, so got looking at our family room and figured sure- why not. Would set up individual tables for four women and have the tea at my house. We are in the auction business, so we move furniture like some people ? Watch tv... So a week ago had grandson move three canteen tables to ur family room. I had already taken the chesterfield and tip urged it around backwards up tight to wall and put a chesterfield table behind it sitting in the middle of the room and now it was time to start to work.

Had to play around with table cloths over and over. This one I front my grandmother did over 80 years ago, it was bigger and she had cut part of down. No idea where the other part went, but this is so precious.

My valentine roses.

Tea was to be 1:00 p.m Sunday, these pictures were taken 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. When I was ready to go to bed. Boy was I ready...

Theme was roses, serviettes were to be roses

These are royal Winton plates that frank and I made into three layered stand.

This three tiered plate stand is another one we made.

This table was for two.

Strawberries with mascarpone cheese and white chocolate.

Honey butter, great with scones

The big day has arrived, I had hired a tea room to do me sandwiches and scones. I made peanut butter/banana rolled, cream cheese, strawberries with white chocolate and mini cupcakes. The butter, clotted cream. That was enough.

Sister-in-law of the birthday girl

This is the birthday girl, doesn't look 80, does she? Me below

Check the goodies

Daughter-in-law Billi and almost daughter Donna serving tea.

Posing in my messy kitchen

Didn't do a cake, but mini cup cakes. Daughter Tara serving grandmother.

Daughter Tricia

Sister and niece and great niece of birthday girl...

Good friend Cheryl.

Put little flowers on sugar cubes and the flowers floated.

Should have taken a picture of the mess after, still putting away dishes. It was a great day, out of the 28 women invited 2o showed. Piles of food left over, have to remember next time that women especially moms age don't have the appetite of me. What a great day it was, something my mother will never forget and such an honour for me to do it for her.

God bless

Time for Tuesday Tea

Sure have missed all you ladies. I got approved as a stockist for chalk paint by Annie Sloan, along with a retailer for Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, then Christmas, a week with no hydro and life just got in the way.
This winter we have had more snow, ice than what any of the old timers have ever seen, I know everyone thinks because we are in Canada this is the way it always is, but it isn't. Winter started so early and hope it will soon be gone.
So welcome, come in and have a cup of tea and cookies. Tea today is raspberry cream earl grey, tea leaves a Christmas gift from a very good friend.

Teapot and cups n saucers are Royal Winton, so so pretty
China plates are bridal wreath by Limoges, makes me long for summer time seeing all these roses.

Two different shaped tea cups and most of you women would know the shapes and names of them.
This one is shaped like a tulip, while the other is open more.

All the gold pieces are Royal Winton.

Tea is so refreshing...

Enjoy peanut butter cookie and macaroons.

On February 15th I am having a tea for my mother who will be 80, holding it here for 26 women.
So getting the lay out of the room in my mind.
